A MOBILE DUSTLESS SANDBLASTING COMPANY

We are proud to say Precision Mobile Blasting is a family-owned company located right here in the Midwest. We offer an efficient, versatile and cost-effective solution for a wide range of commercial and industrial surface preparation and cleaning needs.

This process utilizes water combined with a variety of abrasive materials such as recycled glass inside a blast pot that is then applied to a surface. By adding water, this creates an efficient, dust-free process that is capable of removing coatings, rust, and other contaminants without airborne dust, in addition to ensuring safer conditions for workers and adherence to environmental regulations.

LEVELS OF SURFACE PREPARATION

METAL:
Each level defines the degree of surface cleanliness required, with the higher levels removing more contamination like rust, mill scale, and old coatings.

#1 White Metal Blast
Free of all visible paint, rust, mill scale, stains, and foreign matter. Steel will be gray in color.

#2 Near White Blast
At least 95% of the surface should be bare metal, with no visible residue. Slight staining on metal is allowed.

#3 Commercial Blast
At least 2/3 of the surface should be bare metal, free of visible residue. Only tightly adhering coatings remain.

#4 Brush-Off Blast
Only tightly adhering residue can stay. All loose rust, millscale, and coatings must be removed.

CONCRETE:
The levels of surface preparation for blasting concrete are defined by the Concrete Surface Profile (CSP), ranging from CSP-1 (low pressure) to CSP-7 (most aggressive). Each level indicates a specific surface roughness and is achieved through different preparation methods to prepare the concrete for repairs and coatings.

CSP-1
Least aggressive; suitable for very thin coatings or sealers

CSP-2
Suitable for grinding and abrasive blasting

CSP-3
Suitable for a variety of applications, including thin to high-build coatings

CSP-4 & 5
Suitable for high-build coatings and some overlays

CSP-6
Used for thicker overlays and polymer overlays

CSP-7
Used for thick overlays, polymer overlays, or when a very aggressive profile is needed such as on slippery concrete floors or around pool areas.

KEY BENEFITS FOR YOUR BUSINESS

Superior Surface Preparation: Media blasting ensures optimal surface cleanliness by completely removing corrosive build-up that accumulates over time which allows new coatings to adhere better.

Time and Cost Efficiency: The process is significantly faster and cleaner than manual methods like sandblasting or chemical stripping, reducing labor costs and minimizing downtime for your operations. By using dustless blasting, it allows workers to continue working safely nearby, which can be a significant productivity and safety benefit.

Versatility: A wide range of abrasive materials, from aggressive steel grit to gentile walnut shells allows for tailored solutions on various surfaces, including metal, concrete, and wood. Our blasting products are strong enough to etch concrete for traction, or soft enough to remove lime and calcium from tile.

Improved Production Time: By using crushed glass and water opposed to coal slag it not only provides a safer non-toxic profile for the environment it also leaves a cleaner and smoother surface reducing drag on moving parts and equipment. This, in turn, makes for improved production and less down-time for frequent cleanings.

Restoration and Longevity: By eliminating rust and corrosion, media blasting helps prevent further degradation and extends the lifespan of valuable industrial assets and equipment.

Eco-Friendly Options: Many of the modern blast medias, such as crushed recycled glass are non-toxic and biodegradable, making the process a sustainable choice that meets environmental regulations.

Cold Spark: Although the dustless blasting process can produce sparks, these are classified as “cold sparks”, which are not capable of igniting flammable gasses. This is because the water used in the dustless blasting process dissipates static electricity, effectively preventing the type of spark that can cause combustion.

OSHA Compliance: The method of dustless blasting aligns with OSHA’s recommendations for abrasive blasting. By using water to suppress dust, the process prevents airborne hazards, keeping workers safe from inhaling harmful particles making it easier to meet safety regulations.
